About Us

Paul & Jo Stretton-Downes, having spent thirty years in the licensed trade renovating and running Hotels, Restaurants and Pubs, were voted The Good Pub Guide, National 'Licensees of the Year' in 2007.

This seemed a good time to change tack and so we arrived at Barleysplatt Hall still entertaining but for fewer people.

Jo can now relax, cooking for small dinner parties.

Paul, who enjoys entertaining, can carry on as usual. (This is not compulsory.)
